Remember all the “groypers” who showed up to J6, and then continued their Nick Fuentes-worshiping habits? Let’s take a closer look at one of them.

For those who are unfamiliar, “Groypers” are far right activists and supporters of white supremacist “America First” podcaster Nick Fuentes. Their goal is to launder far right views into mainstream conservatism under a cover of “Christian traditionalism.”
Gabriel Chase appeared to be quite involved with America First, having attended multiple Nick Fuentes events. He’s been photographed next to Fuentes several times.

However, it seems Chase was even more involved with J6 than other “Stop the Steal” events.
Gabriel Chase was documented as “Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building” but he also did other things.
Whatcha doing there, Gabe? Got yourself a canister of pepper spray?
Looks like a hit and run to us. Ooh, did he spray at security around the corner? Kind of a cowardly move if you ask me!

Gabe Chase’s group (#SuitGuysFlock) pressed forward through the Capitol with a “NANCY NANCY NANCY” chanting crowd as they made their way toward Speaker Pelosi’s office.

At first everyone filed through the U.S. Capitol like a museum exhibit, and Gabriel Chase starts instigating property damage.

Joseph Brody (#SuitGuy) also walked with the group to the Senate Chamber doors.
Despite the appearance of an age gap between them, Joseph Brody and Gabriel Chase are only a year apart.

After a destructive tour through the Capitol with his buddies, and the spraying at the north door, Gabe Chase joined the gang at the #MediaSmash and took a souvenir for himself.
Gabriel Chase loots headphones from the pile of media equipment destroyed by the mob.
Interactions with Fuentes by Chase and the #SuitGuysFlock groypers occurred for months before and after J6.
The moment that the “America First arrests” report dropped, Fuentes threw them under the bus and denied involvement, calling them “Jewish” and “vaccinated”.
Nick Fuentes posted claims to Telegram that the five arrested “were not groypers”. Gabriel Chase is photographed with Nick Fuentes at a Georgia event; Jon Lizak is photographed with Nick Fuentes at a New York event; and Joseph Brody wears America First gear to a Fuentes event in Illinois. Fuentes additionally ranted about them in a Twitter space.
Not a “groyper”, huh? Are we sure? Let’s take a look at Gabriel Warren Chase’s Twitter archives…

And yes, it appears that Gabe’s archived posts have all of the features of the typical “America First” Nick Fuentes fan: racism, antisemitism, and violent misogyny.
“Were there any warning signs?”
Yes. There were warning signs. Plenty of them.
Gabe Chase and his buddies may have gone with “MAGA” hats on J6 but history shows Chase’s clear connection with America First.
Even more frustrating is how AF instigators evade accountability and continue to radicalize more young people.

There are so many J6 updates that related news can turn into an endless drone of noise. Cops didn’t stop it. The officials in charge didn’t stop it. We also think it’s an indictment of the current climate when volunteers have to comb through online data to reveal the details.
Importantly, the insurrection could not have happened without the social media ecosystems that accelerated the spread of hate and incitement. These ecosystems are alive and well, and if there is no change to them J6 will repeat.
As long as these ideologies spread and cause real world harm, we will keep bringing the sunlight. #WeProtectUs
